"You will be like a watered garden, like a flowing spring whose waters never run dry" - Isaiah 58:11

Soften my heart. Peel me off…

For it is only then I will see my sins.

For it is only then I will change and grow.

If two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. - Matthew 18:19

Growing awareness of our unity with all beings helps us to harmonize with people of different faith, as we search for peace, healing, and reconciliation.

Through prayer, we come to know that we are connected to all. We discover compassion that unites us with other people. As we intercede, we become interconnected and find a deeper sense of self and others.

It was a long strenuous climb—from the lowlands, the mossy forests, the formidable boulders, the irritating sulfuric fumes, the 87-degree inclined assault, the beautiful crater, and, finally, to the summit area. Each step was a memorable experience. As one of my fellow climbers would say, "Mt. Apo is big, but we have a bigger God."

I stand on the summit area of Mt. Apo and take a quick photo before the fog slips in once again, blocking everything. From this vantage point, I see our tents at the summit campsite below, settled snugly by Mt. Apo's 7 peaks in the background.

When I learned about the Kerygma Conference, I knew right away that the Inner Restoration stream was for me. I was excited and full of assurance that whatever baggage I have will be dissolved and healed.

When Fr. Joey Faller started his discussion, I suddenly felt stiffness on my left shoulder, numbness on my left arms, and excruciating headache that made me want to throw up. I requested Sis Juls to pray for me. I also prayed to the Holy Spirit to cover me with Jesus' most precious blood. The pain temporarily disappeared, and I was able to finish the whole day's discussion on healing.

I readied myself emotionally, so I knew I was well prepared for the talk. Or so I thought. I was caught unaware that it is possible for me to also be physically aggravated.

I felt great after the Inner Restoration and the Grand Feast. I felt so blessed. I went home with much hope and with plans to improve.

But the intense pain on my shoulder continued until Monday. My emotions took a huge drop, and I became depressed. I went to a doctor to have my shoulder checked and was prescribed a muscle relaxant and medication for five days to relieve the pain.

Wait, what just happened? I got confused. I thought I was already healed.
