Sis Juls, God is with you!  1 Cor. 6:17 “But he who joins himself to the Lord becomes spiritually one with Him.” So, we are one with you sis, blessings, healing, and miracles.

Tita Cecille, my co-servant in the Intercessory Ministry (IM) sent this text message last April 8, 2011, the day after Tatay had an emergency operation.  A year has passed since we earnestly prayed for the success of his surgery at the Philippine Heart Center.   My Feast Alabang Media family was a steady source of emotional and spiritual strength at that time.  Sis. Osy’s text went on, “I posted in all our groups to pray for your Tatay’s intention and many people also greeted your Nanay a happy birthday!” Big brothers Mikei and Miket prayed for and supported me in a lot of ways.  My IM and Media co-servants including Tita Tita Audal and Tita Lella Santiago showed how much they cared during this family crisis. Ate Helen of the Liturgical Ministry offered mass intentions for our family. Their kindness touched me deeply. Through them, I experienced the abundant grace of serving in a community.  I realized that I have a big family in Christ to lean on when tragedy strikes.

My Intercessory Ministry (IM) Family

On April 7, 2011, Nanay’s 62nd birthday, we were in the hospital anxiously waiting if Tatay would make it. God mercifully answered our family’s and my loving ministries’ prayers. Tatay’s surgery was successful. We were also able to pay the hospital bills in spite of our financial constraints. A week after his surgery, he was strong as a horse again.

My spiritual family stormed heaven with fervent prayers for my Tatay’s speedy recovery and supported us financially as well. The amount collected was not that much, but for me, it was huge because it came from the hearts of all the people who love me and my family.

It was a very difficult time. But the love and generosity of my spiritual family made me strong. It was like Tatay was their very own father, too.

But several storms followed. Barely two months after Tatay’s successful operation, he died of heart attack. Health problems and financial constraints, to name a few, weighed us down. But I believe that God is in control, and He remains faithful to us during these challenging times. When I felt wedged in life’s rainstorm, I shall always remember the Lord’s unfailing love and abiding grace in my life.  I am strengthened by the Lord’s embrace and presence through my loving Feast Alabang Family!

My Media Ministry Family

Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do everything to see you smile, and who love you no matter what. “
